Insurance

We are a private pay practice and do not work directly with insurance companies

We enjoy having the ability and flexibility to customize my approach based on our clients needs and incorporate our faith in a way that benefits our clients, without being limited by an insurance companies agenda.

Below are some of the reasons for this:

  • Insurance companies require us to provide them your diagnosis and treatment notes in order to get paid, reducing confidentiality.

  • Insurance companies require we use treatment methods that are covered by your plan, thus our work isn’t specific to client’s needs.

  • Insurance companies can limit the number of sessions a client has.

  • Insurance companies can deny request to increase the number of sessions a client has.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments are made to reserve a specific time for you; therefore, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required for canceling or rescheduling an appointment. The full fee will be charged for appointments that are missed, canceled or rescheduled without 48 hours notice.
